Hey Hey! My name is Boris, “Ich bin ein Berliner” for 36 years. My field of interests are considerably vast, some of the main key points are Psychology, Meditation, Yoga, Pilates, Music, Film, and Photography.

I was seeking new opportunities in my career life. Having worked mostly in a freelance audio-visual occupation didn’t ground me enough so I actually spoke my mind to the Job Agent at the Job Center.

“I’d like to work in the IT field,” I expressed.

She instantly worked with my wish and showed me a few papers from different courses and education programs which she just recently received. One of them was the DCI formerly known as the Devugees program paper. From what she told me about I was so instantly impressed that I went straight to the office and had a talk with Felix Wünsche. I signed the papers straight away and started 2 days later.

DCI showed me a new perspective of a branch that I knew very little about. An industry that is open-minded for newcomers and full of opportunities and niches.

I really appreciated the agility DCI showed e.g. the spontaneous change of the curriculum and extend of the course duration all accordingly to the business requirements. I learned the fundamentals for becoming a Web Developer such as JavaScript, NodeJS, MySQL, MongoDB, HTML, CSS & git.

The last 6 months were the most pleasant period for me. We learned at this time the most sought-after library called React followed by the core of the course — the project phase where we had to apply our knowledge.

Courses such as DCI are a great starting point to get into the matter of web development. The final round of the course was the internship that I got through the DCI network.

Now, I am working as a Front-End Software Engineer at a different company, that I found by myself.
